Bringing Clean Water to Asa-dam Community

The Afro-Cultural Development Network (Afrocuden) is currently undertaking the Egbejila Borehole Project in Asa-dam, Ilorin, Kwara State. This project, initiated in February 2024, aims to provide sustainable access to clean water for the local community. The project is being managed by Abdulazeez Abiodun Elemonsho, with assistance from Raodat Adeyemo.
The project has a proposed budget of 15 million naira, with approximately 7 million naira already expended. All Afrocuden projects are self-funded, demonstrating the organization's commitment to community-driven development. The Egbejila Borehole Project is nearing completion, and upon completion, it is expected to significantly improve the health and hygiene of the community by reducing the incidence of waterborne diseases.
Furthermore, the project will save residents time and labor by eliminating the need to collect water from distant sources. This will particularly benefit women and girls, allowing them to focus on education, employment, and other essential activities. Additionally, access to clean water can facilitate improved agricultural practices and support local businesses, thereby boosting economic development.
Afrocuden invites individuals and organizations to support its ongoing efforts to improve the lives of communities in need. Contributions will enable the organization to continue implementing impactful projects like the Egbejila Borehole Project.
